What to do when you have a “cold”

Everyone tries to take better care of themselves when they have a cold.  Hydration with electrolytes to offset fluids lost from fever, diarrhea etc.  Sleep- your immune system Works when you are sleeping.  Taking Vit C is great for the immune system, as are zinc and Vit A.  Hot Chicken soup is a big favorite.

What I want to tell you today, the most important thing to do when you are sick is STAY HOME.  My friends and patients take one “sick day” off,  then go right back to work!  Go right back to yoga, or school. This makes me insane.   They will be sick longer, and expose others.  Just stop.  Stay home.  Call in sick. Cancel plans.  Stay Home!
